This staple of the Cornish Christmas calendar, held on 23 December, celebrates the incredible achievement of a legendary Mousehole resident.

In the village of Mousehole, people gather to remember Tom Bawcock: a beloved local fisherman who once sailed into a storm to bring back food for the starving community (a tale immortalised by Antonia Barber’s book The Mousehole Cat).

Set against the backdrop of Mousehole’s Christmas lights the celebration includes a lantern parade, music and plenty of stargazy pie.
